Bruce Tough calls on The Woodlands Township Board to return the incorporation capital reserve in full to taxpayers immediately by issuing a $20.8 million rebate in the form of a one-year property tax rate reduction, similar to the 2007 rebate issued by The Woodlands Community Association.
This is an important election that all voting residents should participate in. Saturday, May 7 is election day for the Directors of our local Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs) in The Woodlands. Early voting is currently underway through May 3.
The 3rd annual Woodlands Area Business Summit, hosted by The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, was a roaring success. The Business Summit, which attracts 300 members of the business community, has become a premier business event in just three years.
According to voting totals from the Montgomery County elections office, 28,807 of the county's 142,825 registered voters visited poll sites between Oct. 23 through Thursday. Of those, 1,012 were mail-in ballots.
The Woodlands High School senior Devan Godfrey won the youth men's singles race in the Head of the Charles, the world's largest rowing competition, Oct. 22. Godfrey, 19, also won the Youth National Championships for the second year in a row in June.
There is a lot at stake in this year’s Township Board elections. Early voting is currently underway and ends Friday November 3 and Election Day is Tuesday November 7.
