About the Author

Marlies Fitch Ledbetter grew up in The Woodlands, graduating from The Woodlands High School. She is an entrepreneur and philanthropist with a former career as a vocalist, musician and writer, performing for notable people such as President George Bush, President George W. Bush and Governor Rick Perry, with top billed artists and in recognized music venues across the country. She was Miss Teen Woodlands 1996 and Miss Woodlands 2000, in which she promoted mentorship through community organizations and educational programs. She attended Baylor University for Music and Communications, then studied broadcasting in DC, working in Radio and TV as an assistant producer and promotions manager.
Ledbetter's expertise is vast and spans areas including motivational leadership, training, business development and planning, recruitment, video production, human capital management and IT. She is highly involved in many non-profit organizations including Montgomery County Youth Services and Junior League of The Woodlands. She is known for creating motivational and inspiring videos, dynamic live videos, training programs, as well as performing for events around the area.
She has a 10 year old daughter and is married to Jeff of 13 years. She continues to both perform and speak around the Southeast Texas region.
