About the Author
Amy Lecocoq is completing two years as President of The Woodlands Arts Council after three years on the Board.
Amy practiced law for 20 years, 17 of them with the U.S. Dept. of Justice as a federal prosecutor and also at Main Justice as an Associate Deputy Attorney General (last year of Bush 41 and of current interest – with Bob Mueller).
Her last 8 years were with the U.S. Attorney’s office in Houston where she served as Health Care Fraud Coordinator for the office. In addition to her JD, she holds an advanced legal degree in Health Law. She is licensed in Texas, DC and West Virginia.
As a volunteer, she was co-Founder and two-time Chair of Signatures, A Community Author Series (Mitch Albom and Anthony Bourdain), President of the Indian Springs Village Association (4 years) and a Founder and Vice President of the Voter Awareness Council (VAC).
