The Woodlands Township Elections November 2022

Today is Election Day

by Bruce Tough

If you are looking for a sample ballot that includes local races for election day, the image above lists the candidates who I am supporting. See also my comments about the Township Board, LSGCD board, CISD Trustee, and Hospital District Board elections below.

In our local election for the Township Board of Directors, I am supporting Brad Bailey (Po.1), Linda Nelson (Po. 2), Richard Franks (Po. 3), and Kyle Watson (Po. 4). These candidates will ensure that The Woodlands remains a "township" with limited government, low property taxes, and premier services and amenities. To learn more about these races, check out my candidate analysis.

In the elections for two positions on the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District Board of Directors, I am supporting James Ridgway Jr. (Po. 3) and John Yoars (Po. 7). These candidates will take a conservative approach in managing our groundwater resources to counter further subsidence and flooding in Montgomery County. To learn more about what is at stake in these races, check out Bob Lielich's article "Escalating Water Battles in Montgomery County and the 2022 LSGCD Director Elections."

In the elections for Conroe Independent School District Trustees I am supporting Ashley Fehrle (Po. 1) and Ray Sanders (Po. 2). I believe these candidates will ensure that our kids have the resources they need to excel academically while allocating our tax dollars responsibly and efficiently.

For the Precinct 3 Hospital District race, I am backing Paco Rivera.
